333 Officers to assume their charge after IMA POP

This time it’s going to be different as their parents won’t be present. Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun is among the prestigious Military Academy that unveils talented and skilled personally to the Indian Army.

Every year passing out parade is organize at the Academy, but this time it’s going to be different. This year, however, the parents of the cadets will unfortunately not be able to attend the ceremony due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat, quite literally, in the air.

Amid corona threat, only gentleman cadets will be present. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) will hold the Passing out Parade (POP). 146 Regular Course and 129 Technical Graduate Course today on Saturday, June 13 in the campus of Military Academy Dehradun.

For the first time, this year’s first passing out parade will be broadcasted live across the country. On the Indian Army’s Youtube channel – ADGPI Indian Army from 6 AM onwards.

Chief of Indian Army General Manoj Mukund Narvane will be the reviewing officer at the parade. After that, this will be the first time when there won’t be proud parents present.

Regarding precautionary measures, all such are being use to ensure the safety of the cadets. However, all the parents and relatives advise to view the passing out parade on the live telecast and feel the pride as a part of it.

The passing out parade symbolises the culmination of rigorous training and transformation of a gentleman cadet into a young officer to serve the nation with head held high.
